XEION GMBH · CDN EDGE
Static and media delivery for managed workloads
CDN / Edge
Offloading static and media delivery from origin systems.
cdn35.dz6.xeion.de
High-performance content delivery for our workloads.
This host is operated by XEION GmbH as a content delivery endpoint for static files, media assets and auxiliary content of selected services. It reduces load on origin systems, shortens response times and enforces a consistent TLS and caching configuration at the edge.
Why a dedicated CDN endpoint?
Decoupling static and media delivery from the application origin improves
performance, resilience and operational control.
Performance
Faster delivery for static assets
By terminating HTTPS and caching content at the edge, this host helps to
shorten load times for web applications, APIs and portals that rely on it.
- Reduces latency for frequently requested assets
- Keeps heavy content away from application nodes
- Optimised for images, stylesheets, scripts and downloads
Reliability
Shielding origin infrastructure
The CDN layer absorbs traffic spikes and shields origin systems from direct
exposure to the public internet.
- Lower connection count at origin
- Rate-limiting and caching strategies at the edge
- Can serve cached content during short origin issues
Operations
Central, consistent hardening
Security headers, TLS configuration and selected routing behaviour can be
enforced here uniformly instead of per application node.
- Central TLS certificate management
- Shared security header baseline
- Predictable behaviour across integrated services
For integrators & operators
How this host is typically wired into applications and what to expect
from its behaviour.
Typical integration pattern
This host is usually integrated as CDN endpoint via CNAME records or
path-based routing rules in front of XEION-managed origins.
- Applications reference asset URLs on this host instead of the origin.
- Requests are forwarded to one or more internal origins.
- Edge caching and cache lifetimes are controlled centrally.

What is not provided here
This endpoint is not a generic public file hosting platform. Access and
behaviour are defined per service.
- No anonymous upload functionality
- No directory listings or file browsing
- No generic “host any file” service for third parties
# Only predefined paths and origins are allowed.
# Behaviour is bound to internal configuration and automation.
# Behaviour is bound to internal configuration and automation.
Protocol & security baseline
The exact feature set can change over time, but the following principles
generally apply:
- HTTPS-only access with modern TLS configuration
- Support for HTTP/2 and, where available, HTTP/3
- Security headers aligned with other XEION frontends
- Monitoring of error rates and performance metrics
# Use this endpoint only as documented for your service.
# Do not hardcode assumptions about cache times without coordination.

Contact & incident handling
If you operate an application that relies on this CDN endpoint and
notice availability or performance issues, please contact XEION GmbH

Note
This host is part of a larger infrastructure. Do not include
sensitive payload data in incident reports – technical metadata
(URLs, times, status codes) is sufficient.
